Concept and execution in Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) Magazine for Heartbeat, a pharmaceutical advertising agency. The goal was to target potential clients, marketers with a strong sense of ambition and a desire to break the mold. My copy partner and I brainstormed several concepts, of which our "Crappy Participation Awards" concept was chosen. Using the ad's tone of sharp wit and humor, we created snarky scout badges, almost "anti-awards", asking the clients "What's your agency working toward? At Heartbeat, we merit higher acclaim." There have been three iterations of the ad, currently, with two badges swapping out each round, giving renewed interest.
